From 21-26 January, The National STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Career Expo took place in Malta. ElectroGas Malta (EGM), a client of ESB International, was a main sponsor of the event. ESB International seized the opportunity to partner with EGM and bring a positive experience to the Career Expo.

ElectroGas Malta Ltd is a private company by a group of local and international partners and was given the responsibility for the construction of the first LNG (liquefied natural gas) power plant in Delimara, Malta.

The power plant provides a new source of safe and reliable gas-powered electricity to the Maltese Islands.

It has enhanced Malta’s efficiency in electricity generation by approximately 53% as well as reducing emissions by 50% and particulate matter by 90%. ESB Internationals role is to effectively operate the power plant.

The Career Expo took place at Esplora, Malta’s interactive science venue, with 400-500 students per day and ages ranging from 10 to 21.

The event aimed to raise awareness and interest in STEM employment careers with the younger generation.
