The World Utilities Congress 2023 will take place from the 8th to the 10th of May at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in Abu Dhabi. ESB International is honoured to be both exhibiting and presenting at the event.
The Congress, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Executive Council, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Committee and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, and hosted by TAQA, focuses on digital transformation across the global utility landscape.
World-Leading Energy Engineering Expertise
Over the three days, the Congress will provide a global networking and knowledge exchange platform drawing together ministers, global leaders and key power and water industry stakeholders to discuss the business-critical needs, network, and identify new solutions and opportunities. In 2022 the World Utilities Congress welcomed over 8,000 attendees from 71 countries, and the 2023 edition expects to welcome more visitors due to sector demand and interest.
The event will showcase the sector's central role in transitioning to a new era for sustainable energy and water. Industry leaders will share insights and strategies on digital transformations and building resilient low-carbon business models for utilities.
Technical Conference 2023
In addition to the exhibition, the Congress will feature a technical conference showcasing diverse technical and engineering insights to drive innovation in the energy sector. ESB International is delighted to be represented by our expert team at the technical conference.
On May 10th at 10am Mark Mooney, ESB International Project Manager, Kingdom of Bahrain, will be presenting on:

Our presenter at the World Utilities Congress
Mark Mooney is a level 9 qualified Civil Engineer who is a Project Manager for ESB International in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He holds a Master's (MEng) in Civil Engineering from the University of Ulster.
Mark has delivered multiple strategic electrical infrastructure projects in Bahrain. These include Electrical Transmission Network diversions associated with Bahrain's New International Airport and a Subsea Power Cable connection between Bahrain's Mainland and Hawar Island.
