From the 9th to 12th September ESB International exhibited at the 24th edition of the World Energy Conference (WEC) in Abu Dhabi, the world’s largest energy congress.
ESB has a long-standing relationship with the WEC and together with EirGrid we comprise the Irish Member Committee. Fergal McNamara, Regulation and Policy Manager, ESB holds the chair of the Irish Member committee and spoke at the conference as part of a panel organized by the Word Economic Forum.
As the mission of ESB International is to unlock value for public and private sector clients right around the globe, a congress such as WEC is key for building our brand awareness and showing how ESB International can provide a complete service offering to clients across international markets. To date ESB International has successfully completed projects in over 120 countries.
Building the ESB International Brand
For its 24th edition, the WEC brought together international energy stakeholders, including governments, private and state corporations, academia and media. Because WEC is the most influential energy event covering all aspects of the energy agenda, with over 150 countries represented and over 15,000 participants, for ESB International it represents the opportunity to meet current and prospective clients.
The Irish delegation at the World Congress, organised by Fergal McNamara, included ESB Board members, ESB International and members of the FEL programme (Future Energy Leaders). The team discussed ESB’s Brighter Future strategy and how ESB International aim to lead the transition to reliable, affordable, low-carbon energy at an international level.
Drawing in on their experience in over 120 counties ESB International spoke to potential clients about how they can meet client’s diverse needs with their full range of Engineering, Operations and Maintenance solutions as well as Consultancy Services to the global energy market.
