Our Approach

  • The Challenge

To successfully establish the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) function to operate and maintain the first combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant in sub-Saharan Africa.

  • The Solution

To develop and empower local staff through knowledge transfer, enabling local teams to take over the plant's full running.

The Results

  • Provision of techno-economic studies and modelling.
  • Creation of commercial capability to enter a new generation market.
  • Delivery of engineering design reviews.
  • O&M services through commissioning and into successful commercial operation.
  • Sustained successful commercial operation approaching 30 years, with Frame 9E gas turbine technology.
