Northern Utility Resources (NUR), an independent utility was established to provides reliable electricity to the Kulim Hi-Tech Park in Kulim, Malaysia.   

The utility provides a reliable electricity supply to the Kulim Hi-Tech Park customers for whom a reliable and high-quality power supply is an essential requirement for their manufacturing processes. The Kulim Hi-Tech park customers include some of the world's leading electronic and chip manufacturing companies. 

ESB International provided a management team that recruited, trained and developed local staff to operate and maintain the GGCT 220 MW powerplant, the transmission and distribution networks.
